Mono Space (QuickBASIC)
Mono Space is one of the most amazing games ever written in QuickBASIC. In this game you have to save The Galaxy, and it is a space shooter that features quick action and paralax monochrome animated graphics. This game does so many things that seem impossible in QuickBASIC, handling simultanious keypresses, playing music, collision detection (written in assembly) and displaying smooth scrolling graphics.
It's also actually fun to play! It has a cool music track and sound effects, and the game ends with a cool end boss!
The game is designed by Milo Sedlacek (a.k.a. gradius), with help from Lukas Sedlacek.
I've captured the game's soundtrack (including tempo changes when many collision detections are taking place). If you want to listen to it, click here: monospace.ogg
