You are Nevada Smith, a research assistant to a professor of archaeology at a major university. For years you have studied in the hopes that the professor would include you in one of his famous treaure hunts. As a lowly research assistant Nevada Smith believes he's finally going to get his big break into the pages of archeology by discovering a long lost tomb. You sneak into the professor's office, avoiding the campus police, and take the ancient map of the pyramid showing the location of the tomb.

Pharaoh's Tomb is a platform game that shows an entire "room" at once on the screen. You do not scroll through a level. As Nevada Smith, you can walk left or right, jump, throw spears, and pick up items. It is a straight forward game. The game uses the FAST (Fluid Animation Software Technology) engine for it's CGA graphics and animations. Some levels have wind in them making them more difficult. In others you may be invisible. Pharaoh's Tomb contains a total of four episodes. The first is shareware and each episode contains 20 levels.

Pharaoh's Tomb was released as freeware by 3DRealms on March 20, 2009.
