Shivers
What makes Shivers so rememberable is the story and the game's characters. The story is revealed through diaries and written notes, and this gives the characters a lot of personality. Sir Windlenot is a great character whose odd characteristics make him enjoyable to look at and hear him talk. I liked this Shivers game much better than it's sequel, i just missed Professor Windleknot too much i guess.. Go ahead, and take a walk through the museum by clicking on the screenshots below!
The weirdest thing is, when I was 12 years old, I used to to play this game on a CD-ROM that had a bad scratch on it. This caused my PC to lock up every time I wanted to climb the stairs in the clock tower. Somehow, trying to climb the stairs evening after evening got me so frustrated that I started dreaming about Shivers. And here is the weird part.. If you remember, sometimes, there is a shadow moving around in the clock tower. I've dreamed of this moving shadow before I got a new CD-ROM for my birthday. I saw the scary shadow, and the purple stairway in my dream before I saw it in the game.
Your teenage friends have dared you to spend the night behind the locked gate of the Museum of the Strange and Unusual where two teenagers have mysteriously disappeared fifteen years ago. Quite an original adventure game story, and this game takes the player inside a museum in which evil spirits have taken the life essence of Sir Windlenot.
Sir Hubert Windlenot is an eccentric whose dream is to create a musem about his strange findings and theories. For years, Sir Windlenot had been searching for artifacts that would give proof on some of the more outlandish notions in the Archeological community. Most of his fellow Archeologists found the notions of searching for such things laughable, and felt he was tarnishing his own reputation.

The Ixupi symbolShivers uses the latest SCI32 technology to make brilliant looking high resolution graphics possible. Over 2500 artworks are handpainted, and then used on 3D wiremodels to create shivers' beautiful graphics. The music is outstanding in creating atmosphere and mood, and on the CD of Shivers' sequel, Harvest of Souls, they've added a great stereo mix of the music.
